CEPII CEPII
The CEPII is the leading French center for research and expertise on the world economy. It contributes to the policy making process trough its independent in-depth analyses on international trade, migrations, macroeconomics and finance. The CEPII also produces databases and provides a platform for debate among academics, experts, practitioners, decision makers and other private and public stakeholders. Founded in 1978, the CEPII is part of the network coordinated by France Strategy, within the Prime Minister's services.
Centre d'études et de recherches sur le développement international (CERDI) Centre d'études et de recherches sur le développement international (CERDI)
The CERDI is a research centre on international development established in 1976. At that time, it was the first joint-unit between the CNRS - National Center for Scientific Research - and a French university dedicated to development economics. The CERDI gathers around 35 scholars from the CNRS, the IRD (French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development) and faculties from the Université Clermont Auvergne. Our economists are working on the macroeconomic and microeconomic aspects of economic development. The publications and expertise of the members of the CERDI cover all the aspects of economic development: the engines of growth along with the social, economic and environmental consequences of development.
Institut Convergences Migrations (ICM) Institut Convergences Migrations (ICM)
There are ten « Convergence Institutes » (collaborative institutes) in France that were created in 2016 and 2017 on behalf of an international jury leading the 2nd Programme des Investissements d’Avenir. The goal is to gather scientific research by gathering 600 researchers from various institutions to combine disciplines and create an original training program. The French Collaborative Institute on Migration (CI Migration) is the only program that brings together social sciences, human sciences and health sciences. Within the CI Migration, 5 specialised thematic departments and a department dedicated to the academic course (Master’s Degree on Migrations) have been established. The CI Migration organises joint research activities (such as seminars, scientific events, publishing, etc). Additionally, it finances arising research projects as well as young researchers’ work. In 2020, a Master’s degree program has been put in place by the CI Migrations to combine courses in human sciences, social sciences and life sciences. An important goal for the Institute is to encourage and promote dialogues between science and society with the two following approaches : to analyse news events through its online revue De facto and to establish a partnership with local officials (teachers, associations, health care practitioners, social services workers, etc).

Initiated in 1989 and established in 2014, the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) is a public research institute located in Luxembourg under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Integrated into a unified legal framework (law of 3 December 2014) LISER’s missions are to undertake both fundamental and applied research in social sciences that aim to advance knowledge, support public policy both at the national and European level and inform society.
Paris School of Economics (PSE) Paris School of Economics (PSE)
Established in 2006 as a Foundation for Scientific Cooperation (Fondation de Coopération Scientifique) by the CNRS, the EHESS, the École des Ponts ParisTech, the École normale supérieure (ENS-PSL),the INRAE and the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Paris School of Economics comprises a community of nearly 150 researchers and 155 doctoral candidates. The PSE conducts research and teaches economics courses at the highest international level. It actively encourages exchanges between economic analysts and the other social scientists, contributes to economic policy debates and makes its scholarly research accessible via its Partnership Programme and its actions “Economics for everybody”. The Paris School of Economics is the leading economics department in Europe and among the top five in world, according to the RePEc ranking.
